March 1 home game v. TW canceled
Storms and severe weather as well as treacherous traveling conditions for the visiting team have canceled Cumberland's baseball game Wednesday against Tennessee Wesleyan at Ernest L. Stockton Field-Woody Hunt Stadium.

No make-up date has been scheduled at this time.

Torrential rain and severe weather are moving quickly through the midstate this morning, with much of that weather system headed for southwest Tennessee, directly in the driving pattern for Tennessee Wesleyan to travel for Wednesday's game.

Concern for the weather locally and safety for the TWU team on a bus caused the cancellation.

Cumberland (7-8 overall) takes on Lourdes University and Indiana Wesleyan this weekend at home, playing both teams once on Friday and Saturday. Game times both days are set for 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The Phoenix then play six straight contests on the road before returning to campus March 14 for a six-game homestand.
