LEBANON -- Four different Cumberland University baseball camps will take place throughout the month of June into early July. The first option, a hitting camp for ages 6-12 will begin June 9-12 at Ernest L. Stockton Field.
The hitting camp, including a morning session (9 a.m.-noon each day) is for ages 6-9, while the afternoon session (1-4 p.m.) will offer instruction to ages 10-12. The camp emphasizes techniques of hitting. The instructors will use teaching devices to demonstrate proper hitting mechanics. Cost is $95 per camper for each session.
The second option, an all-day fundamental camp will begin June 16-19. The four-day camp will last from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day for ages 8-14. The cost is $175 per camper. The morning sessions will emphasize the fundamentals in all phases of the game, while the afternoon sessions will include game situations and scrimmages. Lunch will also be provided to each camper.
From June 23-26, the Bulldog baseball team will provide a pitching camp for ages 8-14. The camp will last from 9 a.m. to noon each day and will emphasize basic and advanced fundamentals of pitching. The cost is $95 per camper.
The final opportunity of the summer, from June 30-July 3, will be an advanced fundamental camp for ages 13-18. The program will emphasize fundamental skills of the game in more advanced instruction and drills. Cost is $95 per camper.
All of the CU baseball camps feature one-on-one instruction with legendary Bulldogs head coach Woody Hunt, as well as other camp instructors.
The camps each also provide a free camp t-shirt, as well as access to Cumberland equipment, the indoor hitting facility and the playing field.
