CU FOOTBALL -- 23 earn MSC academic honors

LEBANON -- Twenty-three Cumberland University football players were named Mid-South Conference Scholar-Athletes this week, including 16 letterwinners from this year's 6-5 squad.

Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.25 grade-point-average to be eligible for the award.

Sophomores Nathan Anderson, Anthony Bartolomeo, Will Boler, Owen Canady, Justin Snyder, Nytrellis Ross, Jordan Harper and Nathan Jernigan as well as juniors Denver Hall, Levi Carter, Luke Webb, Dylan Crews, Chris Clement, Clyde Payne, Mason Willis, Mike Self and Marvin Wilcox were all honored.

Seniors Anthony Leonard, Corey Matyskiela, Brian Reynolds, Cain Smith, Reed Gurchiek and Blake DeBoard all garnered accolades as well.
