CU honors scholar athletes

Cumberland University recognized its scholar athletes with a luncheon hosted Thursday at Lebanons Immanuel Baptist Church.

A total of 452 students participate on one of Cumberlands 17 athletic teams with 162 having earned grade point acerages of higher than 3.0.

Some 29 CU athletes were recognized for being an Daktronic / NAIA Academic All-American; 71 for having earned TranSouth Conference academic honors and 25 Mid-South Conference academic honors.

The 29 Daktronics / NAIA Academic All-Americans included: Lauren Carter, Helena Farias. Simone Quinn, Jacob Hill, William Judson, Cody McCallister, Tim McCord, Ben Miller, Daley Sallis, Jarred White, Adam Wiss, Sam Green, Andy Shoultz. Tammy Gonzalez, Stefania Ibaque, Anita Pace, Devin Crotzer, Evan Sanna, Victoria Bennett, Allison Blackwood, Caitlin Gray, Heath Holliday, Mitch Ranier, Richie Seaton, Matt Sedquick, Tyler Wheeler, Allyson Agee, K.C. McGinley and Justin Fann.
