The NAIA Championship Opening Round is part of the 32-team NAIA Championships, with the winners of the 16 Opening Round matches advancing to the final site in Orange Beach, Ala., to crown the national champion December 2-7.

Cumberland won its Opening Round match last season at Martin Methodist before falling to Concordia [OR] University in the Round of 16 last year in Orange Beach.
