The community is invited to Fall Fun Fest at Cumberland University in Lebanon this Thursday, Oct. 27.

The event, which runs from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on the front lawn, is again being presented by Student Life with the help of various student organizations. Student Life Director Libby O'Guin said many nursing students, athletes and those involved in Greek life will be a part of Fall Fun Fest.

"It is fun. Our students really enjoy interacting and playing with the kids," she said, adding that it offers folks a chance to see Cumberland's campus. "It is important to visit a college campus. People who usually wouldn't come, come for things like this. We are all about community service."

Last year, the Wilson County Health Council sponsored a Glow Walk. This year they are changing it up a bit.

"We are having a Glow Jam at 5:30," O'Guin said. "There will be dancing - anything to get families moving and active."

The costume contest will be judged during the Glow Jam in three age categories: 0-2, 3-5, and 6 and over.
