CU to host prep stars Saturday

4th annual MidTN Senior Classic
Wilson County prep baseball will be well represented at Saturday's fourth annual Warner's Athletic MidTN Senior All-Star Classic presented by TopTenn Baseball set for Cumberland University's Ernest L. Stockton Field / Woody Hunt Stadium.

Three former Watertown Purple Tigers have been selected for the Class A team. They include: first baseman Robert Caruthers; outfielder / infielder Cameron Jennings and pitcher Colin Jennings. The Class A team will take on the Class AA team at 2 p.m.

The Class AAA seniors will play the Division II seniors at 10 a.m., followed by the Old Hickory Home Run Derby at 12:45 p.m.

Two Wilson Countians will play for the Class AAA team, including: infielder Zach Ehrhart from Mt. Juliet) and Wilson Central LHP A.J. Franklin. Selected for the Class AAA team, but unable to play: Lebanon's Jackson Arnold and Wilson Central's Kyle Schmitt.

Lebanon High head coach Eric Vetetoe, the District 9-AAA Coach of the Year, will serve as an assistant coach for the Class AAA team.

Friendship Christian School outfielder Steven Hollis will play for the Division II team. MVP awards will be presented at the conclusion of each nine-inning game.

Tickets are good for all day at $10 for adults; $5 for students.
