The 29th Annual Phoenix Ball will be Saturday, June 2, in the historic Baird Chapel of Memorial Hall on the campus of Cumberland University. The ball is considered one of the premier fundraising and social occasions for the Wilson County community, Carter noted.

Always full of surprises, the event continues to amaze attendees every year, he added. The Ball features a reception, elegant dining, live and silent auctions, and dancing. The nearly 200 attendees include leaders from the Wilson County and Nashville business communities, dignitaries and alumni and friends of the University.

The Ball benefits the Cumberland University Scholarship program by providing financial support to deserving need-based students attending the University.
