CU's Harmon inks deal with Seattle

NAIA All-American offensive tackle
Former Cumberland University offensive tackle A.J. Harmon has signed a free agent contract with the defending NFL champion Seattle Seahawks.
    
The 6’6”, 320-pound lineman participated in Seattle’s three day rookie mini-camp May 16-18 along with 58 other undrafted free agents, draft picks, tryout players and players without an accrued season on NFL experience.
    
Harmon started his college career at the University of Georgia as a four-star recruit out of Jefferson County High School Georgia.
    
Harmon was voted Second Team AFCA-NAIA Coaches’ All-America by the American Football Coaches Association.
    
He was also voted First Team All-Western Division of the Mid-South Conference as a senior.
    
The Wadley, Ga., native started all 22 career games for the Bulldogs at left tackle, helping CU post a 15-7 mark over the last two seasons.
    
CU ranked in the Top 10 nationally in rushing offense per game (243.2) and total rushing offense (2,675), averaging 30.3 ppg in 2013.
