D-II HOOPS -- FCS girls eliminated

FCS & MJCA boys play tonight
FRANKLIN -- Friendship Christian's season came to a close Tuesday night as the Lady Commanders dropped a 64-32 decision to Battle Ground Academy in the opening round of the Division II East-Middle Region Tournament.

The Lady Wildcats pounced early, taking a 14-8 lead after one quarter and a 30-12 lead at intermission.

Bayley West and Hailey Pittman each had six points to lead Friendship Christian.

Rebecca Petross had five and Autumn Groves four as the Lady Commanders wrapped up a 10-19 season under first year head coach Jeremy Hawks.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at the Bay Family Sportsplex.

FCS comes in 20-9 while USN brings a record of 17-10 into the "loser-out" contest.

Mt. Juliet Christian Academy will be on the road tonight, playing at BGA's Gary Smith Court.

The Saints take a record of 14-13 into the first round game against the Wildcats (13-14).

Tonight's winners will earn at least three more games in the tournament process.
