James Ronald "Ron" Patton

Funeral services for Mr. Patton, 57 of Watertown, will be Wednesday, Dec. 23 at noon at Immanuel Baptist Church with Bro. Kenneth Tramel officiating. Interment will follow at Bryan Cemetery in Shop Springs. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. and Wednesday after 10 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church.

He died Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis from injuries resulting from a semi-truck accident.

Survivors include: wife, Teri Koon Patton; children, Tyler (Rachael) Patton and Brittany (Chaz) Poole; twin brother, Donald (Stephanie) Patton; sister, Kay (John) Quintero; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are in the care of Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home.

Cheryl A. Johnson

Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson, 54 of Mt. Juliet, were Monday, Dec. 21 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. David Fallon officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

She died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015.

Survivors include: son, Andrew Johnson; daughter, Dawn (Michael) Erle; siblings, David (Fawn) Williams, Patrick "Skip" (Sylvia) Williams; and four grandchildren.

Arrangements are in the care of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet.

Doris Jean Broadway

Funeral services for Mrs. Broadway, 72 of Madison, were Sunday, Dec. 20 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Chuck Groover officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

She died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015.

Survivors include: daughters, Karen Belinda (Steve) Phillips, Carol Lee (Michael) Montgomery; son, Hermon Alton (Paige) Broadway; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four sisters.

Arrangements are in the care of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet.

Ronnie Wilson Pulley

Funeral services for Mr. Pulley, 69 of the Norene community, will be Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Price and Rev. Billy Trice officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 3 until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from noon until services.

A member of Fall Creek Baptist Church, he died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015.

Survivors include: wife, Kathy Graves Pulley; sons, Kirk (Beth) Pulley, Keith (Angie) Pulley and Kevin Pulley; four grandsons; sister, Robbie (Aaron) Holland; brother, Lynn (Carlene) Pulley; nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are in the care of Hunter Funeral Home.

Chris Syler

A memorial service for Mr. Syler, 52 of Lebanon, will be announced at a later date.

He died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015.

Survivors include: wife, Rene Syler; mother, Judy Owens Syler; children, Vincent (Allegra) Syler and Jymmy (David) Anderson; and four grandchildren.

Arrangements are in the care of Bond Memorial Chapel.

Robert "Bo" Bowen

Visitation for Mr. Bowen, 68 of Mt. Juliet, will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22 and Wednesday, Dec. 23 at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens and will be announced at a later date.

He died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015.

Survivors include: wife, Mary Jane Chapman Bowen; children, Robin Powell, Marjorie Bowen and Ben Bowen; and two grandchildren.

Damon L. Austin

Visitation for Mr. Austin, 47 of Mt. Juliet, will be Wednesday, Dec. 23 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet.

He died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015.

Survivors include: wife, Michelle Austin; mother, Linda Hayes Austin; children, Brandon Lee Austin, Rachel Mears and Taylor Mears; four grandchildren; sister, Crystal Austin (Mike) Brown; two nieces; one nephew; and numerous cousins and many special friends.

Arrangements are in the care of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet.

Eura Sloan Van Atta

Funeral services for Mrs. Eura Sloan Van Atta will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Smith and Bro. Joe Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bill, Malcolm and David Sloan; Ric and Zach Smith; and Jack Worrill. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 until 7 p.m. and Wednesday after 11 a.m. at Ligon & Bobo.

Mrs. Van Atta, 99 of Lebanon, passed away Monday, Dec. 21, 2015 at Summit Medical Center.

Born August 19, 1916 in Cheatham County, she is the daughter of the late David and Alma Edgin Krantz. She was a tailor at Sears for many years and was an avid reader who loved to make dolls and quilts. She served 35 years at First Baptist Donelson teaching elementary children in Sunday School. She was currently a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lebanon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Oplis Sloan and Carl Van Atta; son, Malcolm Sloan; grandson, Mal Sloan; son-in-law, John Smith; sisters, Bessie Davidson, Inez Anderson, Lois Anderson and Gladys Cagle; and brothers, Austin, Arnold, Alvin and Kenneth Krantz.

She is survived by son, Bobby Sloan and his wife Nan of Lebanon, with whom she lived and who cared for her; daughter, Joyce (Jack) Worrill of Marietta, Ga.; daughter-in-love, Ann Baker Sloan of Lebanon; stepson, Tommy (Linda) Van Atta; grandchildren, Bill Sloan, Malcolm Sloan Jr., David (Gina) Sloan, Sharon (Victor) Jeffrey, Kim (Richard) Smith, Beth Sloan, Steve (Debbie) Smith and Carl (Dana) Smith; step-grandson, Troy (Paige) Van Atta; 18 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a host of beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Lebanon, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
