Funeral services for Mr. Hughes, 88 of Lebanon, will be Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Hesson officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 until 5 p.m. at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home and Sunday after 1 p.m. at the church.
A World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, he died Wednesday, March 2, 2016.
Survivors include: wife, Patricia Kingsley Lowe Hughes; son, Randall Walker Hughes; daughter and son-in-law, Harriett and David Thorne; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; stepson, Greg Sullins; stepdaughter, Sherry (Kip) Lester; and three step-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Lebanon Senior Citizens Center or to Lebanon First United Methodist Church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smithwick, 82 of Lebanon, will be Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with Bro. Nathan Wilkerson and Bro. Mike Richardson officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 until 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until services.
She died Thursday, March 3, 2016.
Survivors include: daughters, Brenda (Mike) Midgett and Karen (Johnny) Moore; sisters, Mildred Stone, Kathleen Harris and Dot Smith; brothers, John William (Mary Catherine) Harris and Jim (Joann) Harris; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Gentiva Hospice.
