DeWitt Earl "Buddy" Roberts

OLD HICKORY -- Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, June 7 at St. Stephen Catholic Community for Mr. Roberts of Lebanon.
Born in Alexandria, La., Mr. Roberts died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at his residence.
The son of the late Mary Eleanor Campbell Roberts and DeWitt Talmadge Roberts, he attended Bolton High School in Alexandria, and later graduated from Chalmette High School, Chalmette, La.
He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Roberts was retired from University Medical Center and Cracker Barrel Inc. in Lebanon.
He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Robert H. Hatton Camp No. 723, and Company K, 46th Tennessee Infantry Re-enactors.
Interment was at Wilson County Memorial Gardens, Lebanon.
Survivors include: wife of more than 23 years Kathryn Hall Roberts; daughter Lorena (William) Troughton; grandchildren Ioan Rhys Lord and Eluned  Catrin Troughton -- all of Aberystwyth, Wales, U.K.; brother Charles Roberts of Denham Springs, La.; and sisters Leta Juneau, Patsy Myers, and Elizabeth Holmes -- all of Alexandria, La., and Carolyn Gibson, of Quinton, Okla.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Music City Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
