Noah Mulaski opened the inning by drilling a single, then scored ahead of Sobieszczyk's towering homer to left. First baseman Thomas Bryan followed with a line single to left, then was lifted for pinch runner Taylor Petty, who trotted home when Alsup blasted a fastball over the wall for an 11-3 lead.

PV touched Wright for a three runs in the top of the six, two of which were unearned. But the 11-year old struck out a batter and got the next hitter to hit a comebacker to the mound for the final out.

Wright struck out six, walked three and scattered four hits to get the decision.

Dixie Nationals win sub-districtJO BYRNS -- The Lebanon Rotary Dixie Minor (9-10) National League all-stars came roaring out of the losers' bracket Tuesday and swept Ashland City to win the sub-district championship at Jo Byrns High School.

The Nationals won Tuesday's opener 11-3 as Mark McDearman went the distance on the mound, then took the nightcap in quick fashion 11-1 in four innings.

The Nationals will join the Dixie Americans this weekend in the District 4 tournament at Lakewood. The American League won their sub-dstrit in Joelton Monday.

Lebanon dropped game one of the championships to White House 3-2, despite solid pitching performances from Kameron Bond and Evan Britt. Mason Everett had three hits in the loss and Alek Kulas added two hits.

The American League squad wasted no time in the if necessary game, blasting White House 16-1 in just three innings.

Kiwanis 11-12's eliminatedLebanons Kiwanis Little League was eliminated from district tournament play Tuesday night in Hartsville -- falling 20-4 to Smith County.
