WAVERLY -- Lebanon’s Rotary Dixie Major all-stars took no prisoners Wednesday night in a 20-3 thrashing of Humphreys County in the District 5 championship game held at the Allen Sports Complex.

The victory, Lebanon’s fourth straight without a loss, sends the Rotary squad into a 12-team, double-elimination state tournament which begins July 5 in Sweetwater.

Lebanon will be matched up against Greenback, the District 8 runner-up.

The Rotary stars opened Wednesday’s finals with a five-run outburst in the top of the first inning, then added nine in the top of the third powered by a leadoff home run from from Jordan Roundtree and a three-run blast from Jacob Williams.

Lebanon closed out the game with six runs in the top of the fourth.

On Tuesday night, Lebanon reached the finals with a 14-4 victory over Dickson County.

Caleb Snider worked the first two innings for the win while Austin Godwin struck out four in two innings of relief.

Roundtree belted a towering two-run homer to center field, chasing home Caleb Snider who had reached on a single.

Lebanon put the game away with seven runs in the second on a double from Godwin and singles from McFarlin, Colton Gaines and Jacob Urmanski.
