Pinch-runner Chris Del Bianco scored on a two-out single by Cory Urquhart in the seventh for the Bulldogs and CU added four runs in the eighth, including an RBI single from Ross, a sacrifice fly by Harrison and a two-run double from Gonzalez.In the ninth the Bulldogs loaded the bases with an error and singles by Tyler Anderson and Richie Seaton before Harrisons two-out, two-run single, plating Josciel Veras and pinch-runner Ryan Critchelow.Gonzalez led off with 10th inning with a double for Cumberland but was caught in a run-down on a ground ball back to the mound, essentially ending the day for the two teams.Freed-Hardemans top four hitters in the lineup Kyle Dearing, Connor Kohlscheen, Ryan Huber and Justin Mackey reached base a combined 10 times in the first three times through the lineup. Kohlscheen finished with three hits and Dearing added two hits and two runs scored from his leadoff position.Jake Collier allowed seven runs, two earned, in 4.1 innings in the start for the Bulldogs, while four relievers gave up just one run on six hits. Matthew Sedgwick, Garrett Treadwell and Jesse Coe combined to toss three hitless frames with one walk and one strikeout.It was just the opposite for Freed-Hardeman, with starter Greg Young tossing six innings and giving up no earned runs on three hits with two walks. But the Lions bullpen allowed seven runs on 10 hits in four innings.
