WATERTOWN -- Funeral services were held Monday morning, Sept. 13, at Hunter Funeral Home for Mrs. Fields, 82, of the Commerce Community.
A graduate of Watertown High School where she was Salutatorian of her senior class, Mrs. Fields died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 at Lebanon Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a member of the Commerce Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years. Mrs. Fields was saved at the age of nine and was baptized in Round Lick Creek.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Denny Shephard. Interment was in Commerce Cemetery.
Survivors include: daughter Karen Melissa Fields White of Watertown; grandsons Leslie Edwin "Eddie" (Gina) White and Jarrod Douglas (Lisa) White; step-great-grandchildren Caitlin Pollard and Zach Al-ghanem; step-great-great-grandchild Chloe Jade; sister, Frances (Lynn) Hasten of Sparta; nieces and nephews, Julia Wood, Charles Hasten, Jr., Dr. Wayman Hasten, Becky Taylor, Kathy Dedman, Joy Carroll, Roy Fields; cousins, Paul Curtis, Hugh Johnson, Don Lancaster and Lynn Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Will Edwin Fields; son-in-law James D. White; parents Alfred T. and Bonnie Mae Terry Oakley.
Pallbearers: Lynn Anderson, Hoover Corley, Mickey Malone, Bob Haley and Jerry Pritchett.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
