Jeff Stone, an off-duty Lebanon Police officer who was killed Saturday when his motorcycle and a car collided, continues to serve his community and help friends even in death.           Stone was one of the organizers of a motorcycle ride to benefit his fellow officer Lt. Brent Willet, who has a form of cancer of the head and neck which is difficult to treat with traditional methods.

Now Stone’s family has asked that people donate to the ride in lieu of sending flowers.

Jeff McPherson of McPhearson’s Cleaners on West Market Street in Lebanon wants to help.

He has decided to donate a percentage of his income from cleaning dropped off or picked up on Monday or Tuesday to the Ride for Willet.

“We’re doing it in memory of Jeff,” he said. “He and his wife Jessica were good customers, and friends. We want to help”
