Earth Day today or no earth tomorrow

  Email   Print

It's harder for us to think of something we want to do for the planet for 40 days but after being with John McFadden of the Environmental Council for a hike last week, I believe that planting a tree would fill the requirements since this gift would keep on giving after I did my part in the planting.

At my house we've already started recycling, and while it is a bother, I have a good feeling every time I sack up a bag of plastic or aluminum knowing that we will use less of the earth's resources by using this material again, plus we will take it out of the growing landfill problem.

Anyway, I'm not sure I would survive riding my bike for 40 days in a row.
