LEBANON - Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 16 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Dunnavant, 88, of Lebanon. A member of the College Hills Church of Christ, a Food and Nutrition Assistant with the University of Tennessee Extension Service, and a homemaker, Mrs. Dannavant died Saturday, Mar. 13, 2010 in the St. Thomas Hospital.

Visitation will be held Monday 2-8 p.m. & Tuesday 10 a.m. until funeral services. Services will be conducted by Dr. Larry Locke. Interment will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 17 in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville.

Survivors include: children Floyd (Susan) Dunnavant III, Rita Dunnavant, Cynthi (Bobby) Johnson and  Nancy (Bob) Check -- all of Lebanon and Craig (Dorothy) Dunnavant of Alabama;  sister Evelyn Lee of Ashland City; grandchildren Daniel (Linda) Dunnavant of Alabama, & DeeDee (Kris) Hatchell of Nashville; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by parents Thomas and Lella Hagewood Speight; her husband of 48 years Floyd Ezra Dunnavant, Jr.; infant son Ronald Dale Dunnavant; sisters Geneva Speight, Bettie Tant and Robbie Waddell.

Active pallbearers: Bobby Lee, Trent Lee, Benny Ligon, Josh Check, Daniel Dunnavant and Kris Hatchell. Honorary: Joyce Ligon, Angie Johnston, Mary Butler, Grace Greenway, Amber Wallace, Minnie Reynolds, Deborah Hamilton, Donna Butler and the staff of Hearthside of Castle Heights Retirement Center.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations may be made to the College Hills Church of Christ Children’s Ministry or Youth Reach, 1401 Leeville Pike, Lebanon.
