After reading New York Times best-selling author Richard Paul Evans’ The Christmas Box, Charles Michael Baril said he was inspired to be an author.

Ironically, Evans, who Baril called his favorite author, along with his company BookWise published Baril’s book The Wedding Present.

Baril is to sign copies of his book at Sherlock’s Books in Lebanon from 1 until 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28.

“It is such an honor to know that my little book, The Christmas Box, was an inspiration for this wonderful new novel, The Wedding Present. Its timely and inspiring message is one that is desperately needed by families throughout the world,” Evans said. He is also the author of Timepiece, and his newest book is The Christmas List.

Concerned about the rising divorce rates among Christian marriages, Baril said he wanted to change the alarming statistics that paralleled non-Christian couples. Baril was determined with God’s help to bring healing and hope to families since they are the core unit for strong communities and nations. He added that he believes his book The Wedding Present can be part of the solution. This story is so unique there’s not another marriage book on the market like it today, he added.

The inspirational love story takes readers from “I Do” to “Happily Ever After.”  Set in Franklin, just outside of Nashville, the story begins with a Christmas wedding. As the reader shares in the lives of a newly married couple, Brett and Brittany Taylor, the most incredible wedding present ever given will be revealed.

This fictional love story is filled with joy, friendship, suspense and young love. A perfect gift for newlyweds, yet the mysterious wedding present is essential for every married couple’s success, he said.  Without the gift revealed in The Wedding Present, it's impossible for couples to live happily ever after,” said Robert G. Allen, best-selling author of Multiple Streams of Income, Creating Wealth, Nothing Down and The One Minute Millionaire.
