FAIR OAKS, CA -- Mrs. Eskew, 95, formerly of Lebanon, passed away July 12, 2014 and joined her husband, Philip who passed away September 11, 2004 in heaven.

Ethel came from Lebanon to Ventura, CA in 1947 to join her husband who had obtained employment with Mission Linen Supply. She was born in a log cabin on May 6, 1919 to Les and Daisy Carson.

She retired from Student Support at Master’s College in Placentia, CA and moved to Marysville near Sacramento in 1985. She was a member for over 25 years of Bible Baptist Church in Oak View.

After the move to Marysville, she and husband Philip became active in Grace Baptist Church. She was active in Child Evangelism Fellowship and Victory Ranch in Hemet, CA. She was a strong Christian lady with a sweet spirit and always had a song to sing.

In September 2004 she and husband Philip celebrated 67 years of marriage just seven days before his passing.

She is survived by her daughter Corinne Summers of Citrus Heights, CA; son Charles "Chuck" (Penny) of Ventura, CA, and daughter Roberta (Dann) Spear of Marysville, CA; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as best friend Vera Ogletree of Ojai, CA.

She was preceded in death by siblings Inez Carson Beasley, Frank Carson, Will Perry Carson, Robert Carson and Wallace Carson -- all of Lebanon and grandson Troy Clower.

She lived a long and amazing life, and we know she is at peace in Heaven. Her example of a Mom, Wife, Grandma and Friend will long be remembered.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Child Evangelism and Victory Ranch in Hemet, CA

A celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
