A man was pronounced dead at a local hospital after a two-car collision Wednesday, Aug. 27 on West Baddour Parkway in Lebanon.
Lebanon Police identified the deceased as Curry Sampson, 66, of Lebanon.
The accident happened about 11:30 a.m. near 337 West Baddour Pkwy. Officers arrived on scene and found two vehicles had collided head-on.
Sampson was driving a 2014 Ford Fiesta west on West Baddour when he crossed into the eastbound lane and struck a 2000 Ford Expedition, driven by Joanna Sherrill, 74, of Lebanon.
LPD Chief Scott Bowen said police believe Sampson may have experienced a medical emergency prior to the crash. He was transported to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Sherrill was transported to UMC by Wilson County Emergency Management Agency ambulance where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Traffic Crash Reconstructionist Wayne Howard is handling the investigation. Police believe that both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.
