Only three Bulldogs managed to put the ball in play against the FCS hurlers. Swindoll retired all 12 batters he faced, striking out nine. Remus took over in the fifth and threw bullets, striking out the side on just 10 pitches.

FCS struck for seven runs in the first three innings. Caleb Snider ripped an RBI single, along with a walk by Austin Godwin, and an RBI single by Tanner Martin accounted for three in the bottom of the first.

An error and a sacrifice fly by Michael Hawks in the second inning accounted for two more runs. In the third, FCS tacked on two runs as a wild pitch scored Remus then Cale Mitchell plated a run with a single.

Friendship added four runs in the fourth as Godwin tripled, plating Snider who had singled. Gunner Osborne followed with a bases-loaded double to score Martin, Remus and Parker Pinnell.

Mitchell and Snider each had two hits for the winners.
