FCS loses Steven Hollis to injury

Friendship Christian will play the rest of the 2014 regular season without game-breaker Steven Hollis.

Hollis, 2013 all-state selection as a junior and the Commanders' leading ground gainer so far this season, suffered a broken clavicle in Friday's 35-14 loss Knox Webb. The senior is scheduled for corrective surgery later this week.

"It looked like a Webb guy came off our blocker and got him right on the shoulder," said FCS Coach John McNeal.

"I hate it for Steve-o, but on the bright side it looks like they'll be able to get everything repaired and healed up in time for baseball this spring. He and his mom are saying he'll be back for the playoffs, but we'll just have to wait and see."
