FCS thumps Ezell Harding

Ezell Harding answered the quick FCS score with a 45 yard kickoff return that set up a short scoring drive cutting the Commander lead by seven.

From there it was all Friendship as they rolled up a 37-7 halftime lead and cruised to their first win against the 2A Eagles.

The Commanders racked up 361 yards of total offense as Markham led all rushers with 159 yards on 12 carries and scored three touchdowns. Maasen was three of eight through the air for 77 yards and a touchdown hitting Tumbleston on each completion.

Maasen picked up 27 on the ground on eight carries as senior fullback Robbie Preston added 65 yards on eight carries and a touchdown.

The FCS defense only allowed six first downs on the night and 154 yards of total offense.

Next week the Commanders host Clay County in a Region 4,1A contest.
