The ballot for the Aug. 5 Primaries and General Election will be slightly shorter as five people officially withdrew by yesterday’s deadline of noon.

A spokesperson at the Wilson County Election Commission said Nathan Clariday of Mt. Juliet, an Independent candidate for the Tennessee House of Representatives in District 57 withdrew from that race.

Also withdrawing were Devon Wilde Barlettano of Lebanon, a Republican candidate for State Executive Committeewoman, District 17, and Reed R. Working of Lebanon, a Republican candidate for State Executive Committeeman, District 17.

Tim Fish of Watertown withdrew from the race for Wilson County Commission District 9, and Justin Corey Buhler of Lebanon withdrew from the race for Lebanon Special School District Board of Education.

If you already reside here and move from one location to another in the county, the spokesperson said you have up until three days before the election on Aug. 5 to change your voter registration.

If someone is moving into Wilson from outside of the county, that person must register by July 6 to vote in this election.

Early voting will be July 16-31. The hours of early voting will be announced later.
