All-State punter will be preferred walk-on
Wilson Central's all-state punter / kicker Adam Williams verbally committed to the University of Tennessee Thursday morning, Jan. 26.

Named Wilson County's Special Teams Co-MVP by The Wilson Post two weeks ago, Williams was also a finalist for Tennessee Titans Mr. Football. He was named Region 4, 6A's Co-Special Teams Player of the Year.

As a senior, Williams was good on 16-of-18 on field goal attempts and averaged 49 yards per punt for the Wildcats.

He turned down scholarship offers from Austin Peay, South Alabama, Ball State, Chattanooga and The Citadel.

Williams is expected to concentrate on punting for the Volunteers as a preferred walk-on.
