Lebanon, MJHS & FCS to host
Fresh on the heels of a rousing home scrimmage with Gallatin Friday, Aug. 4, Lebanon will host Cookeville Friday in a jamboree format for the final preseason tune-up. Admission is $5 per person with 100 percent of advance sales going directly to Lebanon football.

Proceeds from tickets sold at the gate Friday will be split 50-50 with Cookeville. Advance tickets can be purchased at the LHS student bank and at the football fieldhouse.

Freshmen take the field at 6 p.m followed by the junior varsity. The LHS vs. Cookeville varsity will close out the evening.
The three scrimmages will each consist of two 12-minute quarters.

The much-improved Blue Devil defense held Gallatin scoreless last Friday at Tribble Field / Watkins Stadium.

Lebanon's offense scored three times against the Green Wave.

"Our first group came out and played hard," said LHS coach Chuck Gentry. "Our second and third group learned a little about what physical football means.
"We've got a lot to look at on film."

Lebanon will open the 2017 season at home Friday, Aug. 18 vs. Trousdale County High.

Bears vs. Beech Bash
The annual "Bears vs. Bucs Bash" will is set for Saturday, Aug. 12 at Mt. Juliet High School.
Action featuring junior high, ninth grade, junior varsity and varsity programs will crank up at 3:30 p.m. and will run until 10 p.m. or so.
The Golden Bears are coming off a rough and tumble scrimmage with Clarksville High Friday, Aug. 4 at Austin Peay State's Fortera Stadium.
Mt. Juliet will open the 2017 season at home Friday, Aug. 18 vs. Nashville Glencliff.

Friendship jamboree
Friendship Christian's Pirtle Field will be the site for a jamboree Saturday, Aug. 12 vs. Franklin Road Academy. Action starts at 5 p.m. as the fifth and six grade teams compete.
The middle school programs (seventh and eighth graders) square off at 5:45 p.m.
Varsity play is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. between the Commanders and Panthers.
All teams will play two 12-minute quarters.

WCHS at Shelbyville Central
Wilson Central will take part in a jamboree being hosted by Shelbyville Central High Friday, Aug. 11.
The Wildcats will work against the host Golden Eagles beginning at 7 p.m. followed by two junior varsity periods.
The WCHS ninth graders will play Shelbyville at the end of the evening.

MJCA in Metro Jamboree
Mt. Juliet Christian Academy will participate in the Metro Nashville Jamboree Friday, Aug. 11 at Hillwood High.
The Saints of Coach Dan Davis will take on Glencliff High at 6 p.m.
