Signs with NAL expansion team
Former Cumberland University and Mt. Juliet High quarterback Reed Gurchiek has signed a professional contract with the High Mountain Grizzlies -- an expansion franchise in the National Arena League.
The Grizzlies, headquartered in Boone, NC, will open the 2017 season in the spring.
Gurchiek was an all-stater at Mt. Juliet High who went on to play parts of five seasons at CU for head coaches Dewayne Alexander and Donnie Suber.
Gurchiek is presently a Graduate Research Assistant at Appalachian State University.
