Watertown record-setter
Watertown High's All-County receiver Skylor Scales signed scholarship papers to cintinue his education and football career at Lebanon's Cumberland University.

Scales caught a remarkable 52 passes for 912 yards and seven touchdowns, helping lead the Purple Tigers to an 8-3 overall record and a Class 2A playoff berth.

The son of Raine Scales, he is the all-time single season pass catcher in the history of Watertown football. Skylor also accounted for 1,099 all-purpose yards.

"Skylor had a bunch of big plays for us," said Watertown head coach Gavin Webster. "He's got a real opportunity ahead of him at Cumberland."

In addition to being named All Wilson County, he was also an all-region pick. Later this spring, he will graduate "with distinction" from WHS.
