Devilettes escape WC with 33-32 win
GLADEVILLE -- Lebanon's girls withstood a late flurry by Wilson Central and came away with a 33-32 District 9AAA win Friday night. The Lady Wildcats misfired on three potential game-winning shots in the final momentss, only to be awarded a one-and-one with 1.2 seconds left on the clock.

Sydney Comer front-rimmed her attempt and Lebanon's Faith Rushing grabbed the rebound to secure the victory.

Trailing 19-14 at intermission, Lebanon outscored Wilson Central 14-5 in the third period. LHS improved to 12-10 overall / 7-3 in 9AAA while Wilson Central slipped to 9-10 / 5-5.

Devilette junior Madison Sloan led all scorers with 11 points and Julia Fox had 10. Abby Wright and Kelsey Yarbrough each had four.

Kendell Spray finished with nine points for the Lady Wildcats while Autumn Hopkins and Comer each had seven.

Lebanon will visit Station Camp Tuesday while Wilson Central plays at Gallatin.

Watertown trips Van Buren Co.
WATERTOWN -- Three Purple Tigerettes reached souble figures in Watertown's 68-63 home win over Van Buren County Friday night. Bobbi Staats and Bay Cole each had 13 points while Jasmine High finished with 10.

Watertown, now 11-11 on the season,will be on the road Monday for a 6 p.m. tip at Monterey High.

Friendship falls at TCHS
HARTSVILLE -- Friendship Christian slipped to 12-6 overall / 3-2 in District 8A following Friday's 53-48 loss at Trousdale County High. Leading 42-41 after three quarters, TCHS (8-13 / 2-4) put the game away with a 12-6 fourth quarter run.

Deja Jones had 17 for FCS in the loss while kaitlyn Teeter finished with 13 and Taylor Patterson had 11.

The Lady Commanders will host Gordonsville Monday at 6 p.m. at the Bay Family Sportsplex.
