Mt. Juliet at Wilson Central
Ranked No. 6 in Class 6A by the Associated Press, Wilson Central will try to snap a seven-game losing streak to rival Mt. Juliet tonight as the Region 3,6A foes square off for the 16th time.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early as parking will be at a premium. Additional parking has been made available at Connect Church -- located at the end of Wildcat Way.
Devotees of special teams play should be in for a treat as two of the top kickers / punters in Middle Tennessee will be on display.
Wilson Central's Adam Williams and Mt. Juliet's Jacob Bailey hold down both the kicking and punting jobs for their respective teams -- with spectacular results.
Both soccer-style kickers boom kickoffs into or beyond the end zone, forcing the opposition to start at their own 20-yard line.
And both are strong punters -- averaging over 45 yards per boot -- capable of instantly flipping field position.
The pair are automatic on field goal attempts inside of 45 yards with Bailey having kicked a 56-yarder already this season and Williams having connected twice from 54 yards out.
Mt. Juliet presently leads the all-time series between the two programs 10-5 including last year's 30-3 victory at MJHS.
The Golden Bears won each of the first three meetings starting in 2001, only to see WCHS record five consecutive victories 2004 through 2008.
Mt. Juliet has won each of the last seven contests between the two.
Wilson Central enters tonight's game a perfect 5-0 (2-0 in the region) and fresh off a 48-21 victory over Nashville McGavock last week.
Mt. Juliet improved to 3-2 (1-1 region) after a 54-19 victory over Lebanon.

LHS stands 0-5 on the season while the Panthers come in 1-4 after last week's 49-6 loss to Pearl-Cohn.

Eagleville at Watertown
Watertown High will be looking to improve on a 5-0 start to the 2016 season as the Purple Tigers host Eagleville tonight.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Robinson Stadium.
Coach Gavin Webster's squad stayed perfect on the year with a 44-14 road win over Jackson County a week ago -- a game that found WHS falling behind 14-0 in the early going.
Eagleville comes in 2-2 overall -- winners of two in a row including last week's 28-6 victory over Cascade.

Ezell-Harding at Mt. Juliet Christian
Fresh off a 21-7 victory at Franklin Road Academy last week, Mt. Juliet Christian Academy brings a 4-1 record to the table in tonight's home game with Ezell-Harding.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Suey Field on the MJCA campus.
Improving Ezell-Harding sports a record of 3-2 following a massive 63-0 home win a week ago over Zion Christian Academy.
Mt. Juliet Christian has averaged scoring 32 points per game while allowing just a shade over 21 points per game on defense.

Friendship Christian at Franklin Road Acd.
Friendship Christian is looking to bounce back from last week's 31-7 home loss to Knoxville Webb tonight as the Commanders play at Franklin Road Academy.
