The Wildcats trailed 12-7 after one quarter, but out-scored the Eagles 44-14 the rest of the way.


Central rushed for 343 yards on 42 tries -- an average of over eight yards per attempt. Kaleb Butler led the way with 69 yards, Centra Muse added 65, Alex Price had 55 yards, Trey Givens 52 yards and two TDs and ninth grader Gabe Angel had 43 before exiting with an injury.


Coach Brad Dedman's team will play at Lebanon next week.


MJ blanks LaVergneLaVERGNE -- Mt. Juliet improved to 4-0 behind a solid defensive effort in a 27-0 shoutout at LaVergne.


Mt. Juliet led 17-0 at intermission and tacked on 10 more points in the final period.


Fullback Contrez McCathern paced the Golden Bears with 80 yards ruhsing on ten attempts; Caleb Hopkins added 37 yards on seven rushes.


FCS 49, Clay Co. 6LEBANON -- Friendship Christian celebrated homecoming with a lopsided 49-6 victory over Region 4A foe Clay County Friday at Pirtle Field.


QB A.J. Long threw four touchdown passes while completing 12-of-18 passes for 326 yards.


FCS (3-1) scored three touchdowns in the first and second quarters -- taking a 42-0 lead into the locker room at intermission.


Watertown 34, RBS 20RED BOILING SPRINGS -- Watertown remained perfect on the season at 3-0 with a 34-20 win at Region 4A rival Red Boiling Springs Friday night.


As a team, the Purple Tigers rushed for 276 yards on 41 carries. QB Ty Jobe scred two touchdowns on runs of 25 and six yards.


Clarksville Acd. 65, MJCA 0CLARKSVILLE -- Mt. Juliet Christian Academy slipped to 0-4 on the season with a 65-0 loss at Non. 6-ranked Clarksville Academy.


Down 14-0 after one quarter, the Saints were buried 24 second quarter points and trailed 38-0 at intermission.


CA's Clay Goad caught two touchdown passes (33 and 80 yards), returned a punt 59 yards for a touchdown, a kickoff 80 yards for another score and for good measure kicked a 43-yard field goal. He finished with 340 all-pupose yards.


Glencliff tops LHS 34-21NASHVILLE -- Lebanon slid to 0-4 on the season following Friday night's 34-21 loss at Glencliff.


The Blue Devils turned the ball over three times, twice on fumbles and once on a 63-yard interception return for a touchdown.


QB Jarvis Lewis was a one-man wrecking crew for Glencliff, rushing 10 times for 57 yards and completing 5-of-9 passes for 90 yards and two scores. Four sacks and a big loss on a bad punt snap cost him 43 yards on the night.


LHS scored on on a 94 yard kickoff return by Eddie McDaniels, a one-yard run by Julien Crutchfield and a late 32 yard pass from Christian Haffner to soph J'Quan Jackson.


Lebanon returns to action next week at home against 4-0 Wilson Central.
