MJ Christian 34, Zion Christian 30

MT. JULIET -- Down 23-7 early in the third quarter, Mt. Juliet Christian Academy rallied for a 34-30 victory over Zion Christian Friday at Suey Field.

QB Rik Van Mali threw for three scores and ran for a fourth as the Saints improved to 3-6 on the season headed into next Friday's finale at Donelson Christian Academy.

Van Mali finished 13-of-20 passing for 201 yards with TD passes to Landon Boyd, Race McLean and Elliott Lee.

Gallatin 24, Mt. Juliet 17

GALLATIN -- Eric DeBow rushed for 10 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead Gallatin to a 24-17 victory over Mt. Juliet Friday night at Calvin Short Field.

The win assured the Green Wave of a playoff berth and ended any hopes of Mt. Juliet of making it back to the postseason.

Mt. Juliet was held to 258 yards in offense and slipped to 3-6 overall, 2-4 in District 9-AAA.

Friendship 57, Fayetteville 18

LEBANON -- Quarterback A.J. Long threw for three touchdowns and 204 yards as Friendship Christian rolled to a 57-18 win over Fayetteville Friday at Pirtle Field.

FCS improved to 7-2 overall as Austin Taylor scored four touchdowns, two on receptions from Long, and two more on runs of 19 and 38 yards.

All told, the Commanders cranked out 455 yards in total offense.

Goodpasture 62, Watertown 33

MADISON -- Goodpasture jumped out to a 27-0 lead after the first quarter and expanded the run to 48-7 at intermission enroute to a 62-33 win over Watertown Friday.

The Purple Tigers fell to 2-7 overall and 1-3 in District 8-A despite four touchdowns from Ty Jobe. The senior QB ran for three scores on runs of two, six and seven yards -- he also hooked up with Hunter Warren on a 30-yard TB strike.

Watertown will close the season with a trip to Gainesboro to play Jackson County High next Friday.
