Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, June 24 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Col. Hearn, 81, (USAF ret.) of Lebanon. Retired after 22 years of service with the U.S. Air Force and a combat pilot during the Vietnam War, Col. Hearn died Friday, June 20, 2014.
Mr. Hearn was a longtime elder at College Hills Church of Christ and former owner/manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken in Pulaski.
Interment with military honors was Tuesday afternoon at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram.
Survivors include: his wife of 60 years Margie Hearn; son Matthew G. (Mary) Hearn of Nashville; daughter Lisa Hearn (Aubrey) Johnson lll of Georgia; brother Max (Lorraine) Hearn of Texas; sister Wanda (Jerry) Johnson of Louisiana; grandchildren Aubrey (Angela) Johnson IV, Matt (Kathi) Johnson and William (Kristen) Johnson, Jackson and Sam Hearn; great-grandchildren Luke, Abby and Levi Johnson, Margie Johnson and Ari Johnson.
Memorial contributions should be directed to the College Hills Church of Christ Jail Ministry, Hearthside of Castle Heights or the Next Step Resource Center.
Lebanon's Partlow Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
