LEBANON -- Funeral services for Mrs. Geneva Vance Lain, 87 of the Bechwith Community, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Eld. Danny Tomlinson officiating. Mrs. Lain, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at her home.
Interment will follow in the Barton’s Creek Cemetery.  Visitation after 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ligon & Bobo.
Born April 4, 1923, in the Lancaster Community, she is the daughter of the late Rufus Finley and Betty McCaleb Vance.  She was worked at Texas Boot for 35 years and was a member of the Beckwith Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Louis Johnson Lain; daughters Lois Jean (Eddie) Tomlinson of Mt. Juliet and Linda Lain (Dr. Wayne) Johnson of Lebanon; grandchildren Eld. Danny (Shelia) Tomlinson and Tammie (Ray) Griffin -- all of Mt. Juliet; Ashlie (Dr. John) Gallaher of Lebanon and Dr. Rick (Melissa) Johnson of Murfreesboro.
Also surviving are nine great grandchildren, Heather (Chris) Brakefield of Mt. Juliet; Petty Officer 3rd Class Chad (Kristin) Childers of Belle Chase, LA; Lain & Lacey Tomlinson of Mt. Juliet; Grace, AnnaBelle, and Lofton Gallaher -- all of Lebanon; Jordyn and Isaiah Johnson of Murfreesboro; great great grandchildren Delaney Waugh of Mt. Juliet and Cayden Childers of Belle Chase, LA; and sisters, Pheleda Vance Walpole of Mt. Juliet and Peggy Vance Speck of Lebanon.
Pallbearers:  Dr. Rick Johnson, Dr. John Gallaher, Ray Griffin, Lain Tomlinson, Chris Brakefield and Eugene “Bud” Walpole.
Memorials may be made to the Beckwith Baptist Church, 3730 E. Division Street, Mt. Juliet, 37122.
Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home of Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
