George Waterman, 88

MT. JULIET -- A Home Going Celebration will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, January 17 at Bond Memorial Chapel for Mr. Waterman, 88, of Mt. Juliet.

A veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Covenant Fellowship Church of the Nazarene, he died Friday, January 9, 2009.

Mr. Waterman was the son of the late John Randall and Florence MacKenzie Waterman He was preceded in death by his wife Marion McLea Waterman on July 1, 2004.

Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to service time Saturday at the funeral home. Services will be conducted by Rev. Jon Gray and Rev. Donald Schultheis. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include: children James (Margaret) Waterman of Amherst, NH and Nancy (Jon) Gray of Mt. Juliet.

Also surviving are grandchildren Julie Gray, Heather Rampey, Jeffrey Gray, Michael Waterman and Matthew Waterman; great grandchildren Taylor Gray, Jordan Gray, MacKenzie Gray, Zachary Gray, Paige Rampey, Jacob Rampey and Nathaniel Waterman.

Active pallbearers include: Stonewall Johnson, Jeff Gray, Mark Rampey, Gene Miller, Larry Mason and Bill Jackson.
