Gladeville wreck claims 10-year-old girl

Weaver, the trooper said, was negotiating a right hand curve and lost control of the vehicle, overcorrected and went into a yaw traveling into the northbound lanes. The Pathfinder SUV struck the car at a right angle into the passenger side door. Both vehicles came to a rest in the northbound lane.

Weaver and the driver of the SUV were injured in the accident. Weavers daughter, Linsey D. Weaver, 10, a passenger in the Dodge Stratus, was killed and pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger, Weavers son, Zachary T. Weaver, 12, was also injured.

A passenger in the SUV, a 14-year-old male juvenile, was injured as well.

Fleming, the trooper, said in his report that all occupants in both vehicles were wearing their seat belts. There was no indication that alcohol or drugs played a part in the accident.

No charges were filed, and no citations were issued.

Funeral arrangements --Funeral services for Linsey D. Weaver will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Saturday and from 12 Noon until the service on Sunday.

Services will be conducted by Bro. Doy Hollman and her uncle Myron Lasater. Graveside services will follow in the Rocky Glade Cemetery in Eagleville.

Linsey attended the Leeville Church of Christ and was to be a fourth grade student at Barfield Elememtary School in Rutherford County this fall.

Survivors include: parents Thomas & Andrea Weaver; brother Zachary Weaver; paternal grandparents Tom & Karen Weaver; maternal grandparents Dale & Sherry Carter; paternal great grandparents Raymond & Sarah Lasater; maternal great grandmother Yvonne Carter; uncles & aunts Robert & Kim Weaver, Charles (Shonna Huntsman) Weaver, Barry & Shelley Carter, April (Tony Gore) Carter; cousins Austin Peralta, Dusty Peralta, Bryce Weaver, Reagan Weaver, Abygail Weaver and Chloe Weaver; as well as numerous other loving family members.

Lebanon's Partlow Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
