GORDONSVILLE -- Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Home for Mrs. Stallings, 102, of the Hickman Community.
Mrs. Stallings died Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at Smith County Health Care Center in Carthage following an extended illness.
She was a 1925 graduate of Gordonsville High School and attended Middle Tennessee State Teachers College (MTSU) in Murfreesboro.
Mrs. Stallings was a member of the Cedar Point United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time.
Services will be conducted by Brother Jerry Wallace, Brother Stephen and Brother Donald Elmore. Interment will be in Gordonsville Cemetery.
Survivors include: children Marie (Robert D.) Agee of Lebanon, Mary Sue Stallings and Charles Albert Stallings -- both of Hickman; daughter-in-law Judy Nixon Stallings of Louisville, Ky.; grandchildren David (Myra) Agee of Nashville, Denise (Jim) Gibson of Lebanon, Miriam (Bob) Dobbins of Hillsborough, N.C., Karen (David) Ditsch of Jackson, Ky., and Rebecca (Dennis) Tucker of Leithfield, Ky.; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces Etheleen Gass, Ruth Hackett, Margaret Wooten, Joyce Jackson and Jewell Kramer and nephews Thayer Washer and James Wooten.
Mrs. Stallings was preceded in death by her husband Mitchell Moore Stallings; son Arnold Moore Stallings; parents Laura Virginia Gibbs and Thomas King Wooten and brothers Elmer, Cleon, Harry and Leslie Wooten.
Bass Funeral Home, Gordonsville, is in charge of arrangements.
