A meeting will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 8 a.m. in Lebanon City Hall to discuss preliminary details of a sports complex and hotel considering a Lebanon location.

The two-building facility is being proposed by GoodSports, out of Sarastoa, Fla., which has developed and operated high quality hotels under the Focus Group banner across the country for over 40 years.

The complex would consist of a 120-room hotel plus an adjacent field house to serve the $7 billion annual revenue amateur sports market, according to  Larry Frankenbach, Vice President of Vastland Realty. “Families across the country spend weekends at facilities like these (because of) tournaments and activities such as basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, and gymnastics,” he said.

“We’ve got a ways to go, but we are very excited about this,” Frankenbach told The Wilson Post.

The complex would be located on Legends Drive in the Cumberland Center.
