Granville Festival of Trees set to open this weekend

The annual Festival of Trees opens at Historic Granville in Jackson County on Friday, Nov. 11 as part of the "Garland & Gifts Galore" grand opening of the 2016 Christmas season. The Festival of Trees is held in the Granville Museum and Exhibition Center and features some 20 beautifully decorated trees, each highlighting a unique story and the talents of many decorators. The grand opening will be held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Nov. 11 and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12. Granville merchants will feature new merchandise and a special sale for the celebration. The weekend will also see the grand opening of a White House Family Christmas at the 1880 Sutton Home, bringing Washington, D.C. to Granville.
