Gunmen rob MJ SaveALot

Two armed suspects dashed into the Mt. Juliet SaveALot Thursday evening pointing guns at employees and demanding cash.

Just before 9 p.m on December 11, officers responded to SaveALot, located at 15261 Lebanon Rd., after Mt. Juliet's Emergency Communications Center received a call on the non-emergency line of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

Two armed suspects, who were completely covered with masks and gloves, entered the store and immediately confronted a clerk near the front doors. The suspects then demanded all the cash from the store, which the clerk complied. The suspects ran out of the store, possibly to a nearby vehicle, but their whereabouts after that is unknown, according to police.

No one was injured during this incident, and the suspects left with an undisclosed amount of cash. Investigators hope someone will recognize the suspects and their clothing from the surveillance images. When looking at the surveillance images, it is important to notice the distinct features of the clothing, undershirts, shorts under the pants, masks and firearms.

If anyone recognizes the suspects responsible for this crime, they are encouraged to call the Mt. Juliet Police Department at 615-754-2550. Information can also be given anonymously by calling 615-754-TIPS (8477) or via the Mt. Juliet Police Department website at www.mjpd.org.
