LEBANON -- Memorial services for Mrs. Harriet “Pet” Meadors Lancaster are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 16 at the First United Methodist Church in Lebanon.
Mrs. Lancaster, age 66 of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at the University Medical Center.
Visitation is set for Wednesday, March 16 between the hours of 12 Noon – 2 p.m. at the church.
Services will be conducted by Rev. David Hesson and Rev. Charlie Pollard.
Private interment to follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Born July 14, 1944, in Wilson County, Mrs. Lancaster was the daughter of the late Harrell and Harriet Edgerton Meadors.
She graduated from Cumberland University and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Lancaster was retired from the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office.
Survivors include: husband Don Lancaster whom she married December 29, 1964; daughters Leslie Lancaster (Mike) Willis of Hendersonville and Kathleen Lancaster (James) Whited of Lebanon; along with grandchildren Paige Elizabeth Whited, Chandler Dale Willis and Allie Jane Willis.
Honorary pallbearers: Sheriff Terry Ashe and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Department; Sam Sherrill, Judy Denney, Joanie Wright, Dr. Charlene Kozy, Carolyn Beard, Pat Callis, Mary Hugh Skeen, Melody Pollard, Dr. Tammy Collins, Dr. Modup Kehinde, Marie Maier, Meryl Hall and Linda Lea.
Memorials may be made to the Harriet “Pet” Lancaster’s Grandchildren’s Fund at any Regions Bank location.
