Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Hendricks, 83, of Lebanon.

A U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church, he died Wednesday Jan. 1, 2014 at University Medical Center. He was a mechanical engineer with Ford Glass Plant, having served as superintendent of fabrication.

Visitation will be held 3-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3 and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service. Funeral services will be conducted by Bro. Kevin Medlin. Burial will follow at Nashville's Spring Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include: his wife of 62 years, Helen S. Hendricks; sons Scot ( Jill) Hendricks, Harry "Joe" (Susan) Hendricks Jr., Russell (Kelly) Hendricks and daughter Cheryl H. (Royce) Thacker.

Also surviving are sisters Olivia Leibowitz and Edna Weinheim; grandchildren April (Rob) Dupree, Jennifer (Ryan) Fossett, Audrea (Chris) Carrico, Lindsey Hendricks, Joseph Hendricks and John Hendricks; great grandchildren Evangeline Dupree, Toby Dupree, Addison Fossett and John Parker Fossett; as well as numerous other loving family members.

Mr. Hendricks is preceded in death by his parents, Pleasant Gaines and Woodie Mae Miller Hendricks; brothers  Pleasant Grant "Buddy" Hendricks, John Hendricks, Paul Hendricks; sister-in-law Eleanor Hendricks; brothers-in-law Harold Leibowitz and Sidney Weinheim.

Active pallbearers: Ryan Fossett, Chris Carrico, Rob Dupree, John Hendricks, Joseph Hendricks and Pearl Heizer.
Honorary pallbearers: Ford Glass Plant Fabrication Dept., Dr. Robert Jantz & staff, University Medical Center North Tower doctors & nurses, Home Instead care givers, Caroline Wilber, Cindy Patton and Terri Cole.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made in Mr. Hendricks' memory to The Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 522 Castle Heights Ave., Lebanon, 37087.

Arrangements are in the care of Lebanon's Partlow Funeral Chapel.
