LHS, WCHS & FCS take home hardware
Lebanon High's boys along with the girls teams from Wilson Central and Friendship Christian were crowned champions of their respective holiday basketball tournaments Wednesday, Dec. 31.

(boys) LHS 48, CB West 37
NASHVILLE -- Lebanon went on a 12-0 second quarter run and went on to post a 48-37 victory over Central Bucks West (Pa.) Wednesday evening in the finals of the FRA Holiday Classic at Franklin Road Academy

Seniors Kobe Neuble (16 points) and Tay Jackson (12) paced the LHS scoring while soph Noah Mulaski finished with 10.

With the win, the Blue Devils moved to 13-1 overall headed into their first game of 2016 -- at home vs. White County, Tuesday, Jan. 5.

(girls) WCHS 60, Hillsboro 24
NASHVILLE -- Wilson Central roared to a 22-0 first quarter lead and never looked back, downing Hillsboro 60-24 Wednesday in the finals of the John Overton Christmas Tournament.

UT-Martin signee Kendall Spray led all scorers with 27 points while Addison Byrd chipped in with 13.

The Lady Wildcats remained undefeated at 14-0 headed into a District 9-AAA contest Friday, Jan. 8 at Gallatin.

(girls) FCS 67, Wellborn (Ala.) 36
JEMISON, Ala. -- Friendship Christian's Lady Commanders improved to 6-3 on the season following Wednesday's 67-36 win over Wellborn (Ala.) in the finals of the Jemison Christmas Tournament.

Leading 28-15 at intermission, FCS turned up the heat for a 20-point lead (46-26) headed into the final eight minutes.

Ashlyn Pittman led FCS with 25 points, Courtney Petty had 16 and Autumn Groves had 13.

Ashlyn and Hailey Pittman along with Petty were named to the all-tournament team.
