Wilson County’s Real Estate Market continued to improve in November with 130 closed residential home sales, an increase of 44 from the same time last year.
Wilson County’s pending home sales in November also increased by 64 from 2008 with 144 going under contract.
“Our numbers also remained stable from October to November of 2009 with a $3,600 increase in Median Sales Price up to $178,500 and an increase of homes under contract by 28,” said Amy Hamilton, a local real estate agent and a member of the Eastern Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors.
Currently for Wilson County, there is almost a nine-month supply of homes on the market with average days on the market of 72, she said.
“Mt. Juliet showed the strongest numbers with 65 closed homes with an average sales price of $213,900 and 75 days on the market. Lebanon came in close behind with 56 closed homes with an average sales price of $154,998 and 70 days on the market,” Hamilton noted.
“With interest rates continuing to stay at an all time low, tax incentives for both first time homebuyers and existing homeowners, and confidence beginning to increase in our economy, our housing market in Wilson County will continue to gradually improve as we move into 2010.”
