Lebanon High's Caleah Shannon

Lebanon High post player -
Former Devilette post player Caleah Shannon signed scholarship papers Thursday morning May 18 to continue her education and basketball career at Walters State Community College in Morristown.

Shannon, the daughter of Carlos and Treva Shannon, averaged 12.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game during her senior season.

She recorded four double-doubles and scored a career high 24 points Feb. 1 at Station Camp. Shannon was voted regular season All-District 9-AAA and was recognized as Team Most Valuable Player.

She will be joining a Walters State program that is coming off a Region VII Championship.

Coach Dave Kragel has been the coach at WSCC for the past 40 years and has recorded over 900 career wins.

He presently ranks third all-time in career victories in the National Junior College Athletic Association.

The Lady Senators have finished in the top five of the NJCAA National Tournament twice in the last five years.
