Former Lebanon City Council member Kevin Huddleston traveled to Philadelphia last week for the Democratic National Convention as an at-large delegate for Vermont Senator and former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.
Huddleston said the convention was "well put together" and described it to The Wilson Post as "The best thing I've ever been a part of."
Out of all the speakers, Huddleston was most impressed with First Lady Michelle Obama.
"It was probably the best speech of the week," he said. "I think she really laid it out - her experience at the White House - and that we have to have someone in the White House who is compassionate, with a steady hand that is not going to explode."
Huddleston also had a couple of opportunities to hear Sanders speak.
"The delegations for Michigan, Tennessee and Minnesota were all at the same hotel. He came to our hotel and spoke at breakfast, calling for unity and laying out how important this election is to everybody. That was very moving."
