Agriculture has been a cornerstone of Wilson County from the day it was formed in 1799 and, to recognize the contributions of those involved in agriculture in the community, the Wilson County Agricultural Hall of Fame was organized.

Both Mt. Juliet Christian Academy and Friendship Christian School will play at home in the opening round of the East-Middle District 1-A tournaments with Thursday winners advancing to semifinal play Friday at Knoxville Webb.

Spray breaks own record
PORTLAND -- Wilson Central's Kendall Spray bettered her own single season record for 3-pointers in Tuesday's 67-28 victory at Portland High.

The UT-Martin signee connected on six of her 10 tries from beyond the arc and finished with 28 points.

The six 3-pointers gave her 141 for the season -- breaking the mark she set last year of 139.

WB baseball pancakes
The Winfree Bryant Middle School baseball team will hold a fundraising Pancake Breakfast Saturday, Feb. 13 at Applebee's on S. Cumberland Street between the hours of 7:30-9:30 a.m.
Tickets are $5 per person, which includes pancakes, meat and drink. Take-out orders will be available.
Advance tickets are being sold by members of the Aviator baseball team. Tickets will also be available at the door.
